Chris Golden: My Dad

Chris Golden: My Dad

My dad has always been the coolest guy in the room. Back before he ever left his job at the paper mill and the family farm in Brewton, Alabama to move to Tennessee and join The Oak Ridge Boys, before he guided them to the top of the field and revolutionized Gospel music, before he crossed over to country music, grew the beard and became a hillbilly superstar, before he sold millions of records, traveled millions of miles to perform for millions of people or before he entertained presidents and kings, before his award case was full of Grammys, CMAs, and ACMs and Doves, before gold and multi-platinum albums lined his wall, before he was inducted into several Hall of Fames including the Country Music Hall of Fame, ….before it all… he was my hero…he was my sweet father. I am so blessed and honored to say he still is, and I could not be any more proud to be his son. May The Good Lord continue to bless him with good health, happiness, more songs to sing, and many more days to celebrate life. Happy Father’s Day Dad!
