Announcing our 40th year of Sunday Mornin’ Country

NASHVILLE, TN. – – Celebrating the 40th Year, Sunday Mornin’ Country is best known for blending top Country artists and Gospel music favorites together for a time of celebration and inspiration along with great entertainment for the whole family. The mission to share the gospel of Jesus Christ across the world through His gift, the international language of music. The event will take place on Sunday, June 7 on the historic Grand Ole Opry stage. Tickets are available here.

The special show will again be hosted by the legendary, Country Music and Rock -n- Roll Hall of Fame member, Brenda Lee. Sponsored by the Nashville-based nonprofit, Music City Christian Fellowship, the concert wraps up the week at the conclusion of CMA Music Fest each year, leaving fans and guests with an uplifting memory of Nashville. Sunday Mornin’ Country is the longest-running named Country/Gospel event during the well-attended music festival.

“Sunday Mornin’ Country is one of my favorite things to be a part of each year. It reminds me of my childhood; going to church, being with old friends, meeting new friends and sharing the songs of my childhood,” said Brenda Lee. “I am honored to be invited to host the 40th anniversary show this year at the Grand Ole Opry House.”

2020 performers will include Brenda Lee, Charlie McCoy, Buddy Jewell, Adam Warner, Larry Black and Nadine, LuLu Roman, The Babcocks, The Fox Brothers with Rena’ Jones and Shelton Bissell, Chris Golden, Margo Smith and Holly Watson, Melanie Walker, Stu Phillips, The Music City Quartet, Dianne Sherrell, The Tennessee River Boys, The Country Chorale featuring the Davis Family, Judy Gilbert, Bev McCann and Mark Thomas with more announcements coming soon.

Past years performers have included the talents of Jeannie Seely, John Berry, Skeeter Davis, Roy Acuff, Lynn Anderson, Jason Crabb, Chris Young, Jimmie Wayne, The Oak Ridge Boys, Roy Clark, Freddy Hart, Grandpa Jones, Charlie McCoy, Vestel Goodman, Paul Richey, Marty Raybon, Ricky Skaggs, Connie Smith, Rhonda Vincent, The Whites, Tammy Wynette, Brenda Lee, Linda Davis, Jean Shepard and many others.

Operation Song will be this year’s featured Sunday Mornin’ Country guest. Operation Song’s mission is to empower veterans and active-duty military to tell their stories through the process of songwriting.
